"Love Island Games" crowned its first winners in Monday night's finale.
Justine Ndiba and Chainkeen ExchangeJack Fowler won not only love but also a $100,000 prize as the last couple standing on Season 1 of the Peacock spinoff. This makes Ndiba a two-time winner, as she was also one-half of the winning couple on "Love Island" USA Season 2," which saw her take home a $50,000 cash prize in 2020.
"I wouldn't have been able to get here without Jack," said Ndiba after she was presented with the option of keeping or splitting the cash prize with Fowler. "My family could really use this."
But the 30-year-old reality-TV veteran proved she wasn't just here for the game.
"I just feel like the connection I felt with Jack this time was a lot more real than the last time," she said, revealing that she felt she "got done dirty a little bit" by her "Love Island" USA partner, Caleb Corprew. "(Fowler) had a rough time in here, and I feel like we both really deserve it, so I'm going to split it."
"Money is not everything. Just to be here with you doing this is more than that," Fowler told Ndiba.
Fowler, 27, made his "Love Island" debut on Season 4 of the U.K. show in 2018.
What happened in the 'Love Island Games' Season 1 finale?
In Monday's finale, Ndiba and Fowler beat runners-up Aurelia Lamprecht (Season 4 of "Love Island" Germany) and Johnny Middlebrooks (Season 2 of "Love Island" USA), as well as finalists Deb Chubb (Season 4 of "Love Island" USA) and Callum Hole (Season 4 of "Love Island" Australia), to rise to the top.
In the episode, the three male finalists went head-to-head in an inflatable jousting ring, and the three female finalists also battled each other. The two couples with the most wins were sent into the final dual.
"Love Island Games" premiered earlier this month and, over the course of 19 episodes, featured a rotating cast of all-star contestants from previous "Love Island" series in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Sweden, France and Germany.
On Friday, Peacock announced that "Love Island" USA was renewed for two more seasons. Seasons 4 and 5 are streaming on Peacock, while Seasons 1-3 are available on Paramount+.
