Adam Sandler's kids are so not invited to watch his latest project—but there's a reason.
"I do curse a lot," he told E! News at the New York premiere of his Netflix comedy special, Adam Sandler: Love You, August 20. "I apologize to many, many people out there, especially my family. They don't need to know those words exist." (For more from Adam, watch E! News on August 21.)
While Adam's wife Jackie Sandler was by his side at the event, held at The Plaza Hotel in NYC, daughters Sadie Sandler, 18, and Sunny Sandler, 15, skipped the screening.
"They can see a couple parts of it," he noted of the special, out August 27. "I don't throw it on for them too quickly. In fact, they're not coming tonight, they'll see me at the party after. But I said, 'You don't need to see this one.'"
One project that would be dad-approved? Adam's potential reunion with BFF Drew Barrymore.
"Drew and I talk about doing stuff together all the time," he shared of his Blended, 50 First Dates and The Wedding Singer costar. "I was just hanging out with Drew, we don't know what it's going to be but one day we'll get it right."
In fact, it was just a few months ago that Drew shared a tearful message to her pal after stumbling upon one of their movies.
"I love you so much @adamsandler," she captioned a January Instagram video. "The Wedding Singer came on my TV as I was getting ready to leave the house and I had to take in this moment and watch it."
Adam's reaction? "Love u always Drew," he commented. "Happy New Year."
The duo previously teased another collaboration during the 2020 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Greatest of All Time Special.
"It was so much fun to make a movie with you," Drew said during their virtual appearance, "in every of the last three decades."
And Adam agreed. "It's a new decade," he pointed out, "so we get to make another movie together."
But they're in no rush. As Drew told her bestie, "Let's wait until we find something amazing, we do have 10 years."
