With great girlfriends come great birthday shoutouts.
Zendaya celebrated her boyfriend Tom Holland's 27th birthday June 1 with two never-before-seen photos posted to her Instagram Stories. The first picture showed the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor submerged in the ocean with his hands coming out of the water to form a heart. The Euphoria star added her own heart emoji to the snap. A follow-up photo showed a far away Tom smiling as he stood on rocks in front of the ocean, keeping it casual in shorts, a t-shirt and sneakers.
And in honor of his birthday, the Uncharted actor took to his Instagram to share a snap of himself in swimwear, a vest, helmet and googles while holding water shoes. He captioned the cheeky post, "Thank you for all the wonderful birthday messages. A gift from me to you. I thought I'd share possibly the sexiest picture ever taken of me! #sexyiestmanalive."
Zendaya, 26, gave her stamp of approval, commenting a heart eye emoji underneath.
The Emmy winner also showed her support by posting a promo shot of Tom's new show, The Crowded Room, which premieres on Apple TV+ June 9.
And this isn't the first time the couple showed love for one another, with Tom calling Zendaya's Fashion Icon honor at the 2021 CFDA Awards, "an incredible achievement for the most incredible person."
Zendaya certainly feels the same. In fact, the star keeps her love close, whether Tom is far from home or not—wearing a ring engraved with the initials "TH." The gold ring—although not on that finger—had fans' Spidey-senses tingling in March, after an Instagram video posted by her nail artist made the social media rounds.
But despite the sweet glimpses into their relationship, Tom and Zendaya prefer to call on the superpower of invisibility and not overshare about their romance.
"I've always been really adamant to keep my private life private because I share so much of my life with the world anyway," the Avengers: Endgame actor explained to GQ in November 2021, as he recalled setting boundaries with the public. "We sort of felt robbed of our privacy. I don't think it's about not being ready. It's just that we didn't want to."
Zendaya echoed her boyfriend of two years' sentiments in her own GQ interview.
"When you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own," she told the outlet in a November 2022 interview. "I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing and something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other."
