Travis Scott is amid more legal trouble.
The “goosebumps” rapper (real name Jacques Bermon Webster II) was arrested after an alleged fight involving a security guard and his own bodyguard at a luxury hotel in Paris, the Paris Prosecutor’s Office confirmed to E! News.
“On August 9th, a little after 5 A.M., the police were called to the George V Hotel and arrested Travis Scott following his violent behavior regarding a security guard,” the prosecutor’s officer shared in a statement. “The latter had intervened to separate Travis from his own bodyguard.”
Scott’s representative responded to the incident, telling E! News in a statement, “We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.”
Scott—who shares kids Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2, with ex Kylie Jenner—has been in Paris attending the 2024 Olympics. On Aug. 8, he was seen sitting alongside Quavo during the Men’s Basketball semi-final match as Team USA beat Serbia. Hours later, the “Sicko Mode” rapper shared a video on his Instagram Stories of himself at a club, standing alongside DJ Lucky in the DJ booth.
The 33-year-old’s arrest in France comes one month after he was arrested and booked on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespass of property after a warning in Miami, Fla.
Authorities had responded to a disturbance on the docks of Miami Beach in the late hours of June 20 and found Scott “standing by the dock and yelling" at a yacht docked nearby, according to police records obtained by E! News. The police on the scene noted that they smelled alcohol on Scott’s breath, and he initially obliged to the officer’s requests to sit down before "continuously standing back up disregarding officers commands."
Scott’s attorney, however, disputed the sequence of events.
"Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding," the attorney, Bradford Cohen, told E! News in a statement. "There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution."
The charges of disorderly intoxication were dropped Aug. 8, according to records viewed by NBC affiliate WTVJ. However, he is still facing a misdemeanor trespassing charge.
